- Shoot from directly above, in good light.
- Add a close-up of any name or model plate you can find.
- Send the serial number too if you can see it.

What should I send you?
The make, model and serial number of your machine. If you’re unsure, a top-view photo with the ribbon spools showing is the most helpful. Build your message and we’ll write it for you.
Where do I find my machine’s model?
Look on the front, under the lid, or on the back or bottom of the machine. The Typewriter Database website is also a handy resource for identifying vintage typewriters.
Can I just text a photo?
Yes, and it’s often the fastest way. Text 027 308 0800 with a photo of your machine and we’ll identify the right ribbon.
What if I can’t identify my machine at all?
No problem. Send us a photo and we’ll help identify it. Most typewriters also use a universal 1/2″ ribbon (81.01), so there’s a good chance we can match you quickly.
Do you ship to Australia?
Yes, with tracked shipping from New Zealand. Delivery to Australia usually takes 3 to 7 working days, and New Zealand is typically 1 to 3 working days.
Can you help with POS or cash register ribbons?
Yes. Send us your printer or till model, or a photo of the old ribbon cartridge, and we’ll match the ribbon. You can also browse POS models.
What if I order the wrong ribbon?
Contact us and we’ll help fix it.
